Darci Johannessen - Creative
Artist Biography
Darci Johannessen (B. 1999, Aspen, Colorado) is a multidisciplinary artist. She received her BA in Anthropology and Philosophy with a Minor in Religious Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. During her undergraduate studies, she fell in love with the way she could deepen the conceptual explorations of her studies through visual arts. Her practice is drawn from a questioning and contemplation into the nature of reality and the experience of being - exploring existence in its sacred, corporeal, and liminal dimensions. Working at the threshold between substance and void, she draws equally into internal dreamscapes of psyche and vision, and external landscapes of earth and material.
